At Emirates Islamic, we have always been conscious of our responsibility to support the community and give back to the society. With this in mind, Emirates Islamic has recently formed the Emirates Islamic charity fund to govern and oversee the Bank’s strategy for supporting important humanitarian causes across the UAE. The fund will provide financial aid under the pillars of food, shelter, health, education and social welfare.

Since its inception, the Bank has actively contributed to noble and charitable causes but now with the formation of the Emirates Islamic charity fund, it aims to actively distribute the bank’s Zakat and other funds for social and humanitarian causes. As an Islamic bank, Emirates Islamic is committed to support and help create a better society, with diligent utilization of Zakat funds as guided by Shari’a.

The Emirates Islamic charity fund will focus on the following key causes:

• Contributions to prominent Charitable organisations which have established large distribution networks. Emirates Islamic will actively work with them to support causes that not just provide charitable donations but also bring about an improvement in the lifestyles of the beneficiaries
• Supporting individuals who are unable to afford and pay their Medical and Education expenses
• Providing financial aid to help release prisoners
